Job description:
Purpose: – Portfolio Analytics
The role facilitates for senior leadership level decision making for product / technology pipeline recommendation, selection, and prioritization. This is achieved through development of fact based quantitative and qualitative business insights. The role requires development of detailed financial models, undertake scenario analysis to create and analyze for optimal decision choices, as well as design, create and maintain in-house databases and visualization platforms using various advanced tools.
Roles and Responsibilities: Development and deployment of Portfolio Analytics process as well as Data Governance mechanism
- Data Collation – Quantitiative and Qualitative data form within functions platforms such as IQVIA, DRG Global Data etc, and from other functions such as IP, Clinical, etc.
- Data Integration and Visualization – Integrate the data from multiple sources to develop and maintain the integrated platform, which to be used to generation of data visualization platforms
- Insight Generation – Undertake various analysis of the integrated data to create specific insights to support any product development, pipeline priorilization, product life cycle management, or new idea generation
- Governance and Collaboration – Establish a governance structure around the integrated analytics platform, and work with digital process excellence team to evolve and deploye the platform
- Automation – Create levers to facilitate automation within the analytics process so as to create traceability uniformity, and reliability of information2Financial Modeling and Valuation Owning the models for set of assets & strategic action such as In/ Out licensing
- Financial Modeling – Develop and own detailed valuation models for various molecules / technologies that enable critical decisions such as – Pipeline Prioritization, In/Out Licensing, and various startegic actions
- Analog Identification and assessment – Development of financial models and validation based on analog identification and validation of the same
- Assumption Development for Modelling – Work with subject matter experts from various functions and front end teams as well as through analytics develop assumptions and scenarios
- Long Term Forecasting – Understand the therapy area, and predict long term potential of the molecule based on qualitative and quantitative assessment of the molecule/ therapy area
3 : Portfolio prioritisation Support the head of Portfilio strategy + Strategy & Product steering comittee in prioritization of molecules for early development
– Responsible for ensuring portfolio prioritization for early stage work initiated in Product Development
-Establish processes for monitoring and updating decisions based on significant changes in program valuation
– Data-based contributor to recommendations and framing of portfolio choices
Provide domain/functional input (content) into strategic portfolio assessments4Integrated Product Strategy Integrated biosimilar product strategy
Own the definition and update the strategy in alignment with the front end and backend teams
Strategy to optimize for various requirements to cover for the widest set of markets such as manufactuing, formulaiton and presentaion, use, launch scenarios, profitability measures etc.
Work with cross functional teams to develop a product road map from inception to commercialization
Define & govern critical decision points over product life cycle development to commercialization & beyond5Enabling Strategy Execution Work with program management team to facilitate execution of the product strategy and the program objectives defined
Qualification: MBA (any specialization), however thorough understanding of financial & decision modelling is a must.
Business Understanding:
- Knack and understanding of the drug product development and life cycle management constraints
- Knowledge of routine financial reporting and financial statement analysis, healthcare databases, and strong ability to make sense out of large volumes of unstructured data
Experience:
- At least 3 years of Pre/Post MBA Experience is preferred
- Preferred to have experience in tools for database and analytics platform development & design such as SQL, VBA etc.
- Must have advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- General understanding of Portfolio Management
